Such a cosy haven in a fab area with many top restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The bungalows are beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfy. We had a wonderful stay at Alcove Bungalows! The hosts were so warm and welcoming. They provided thoughtful details like longies for the beach and even candles to make our stay romantic. The restaurant was chic, with flavorful shows, and we were welcomed with a free drink. The receptionist took great care of us, and provided a local guide with some awesome jokes. Only minor issues. The bed matress was a bit sunken in the middle (Although clean and comfy). Wifi also had fluctuations. Other than that - no complains.Read more
Wonderful vibe, staff that goes above and beyong, amazing location if you want to be close to the sea to watch sunsets and a lot of western eateries

After staying in countless bungalows where the minimum effort is made, it is a breath of fresh air to find hooks, working hot water, hammocks, privacy screens, good lighting (omg, our last place had only 6000k bedroom lights, I'd rather be in the dark!) this place, with its attention to taste and detail was exactly what I needed. The bungalows are very close to both the very busy main road AND the Alcove beach bar making it very noisy until after midnight. The bar, same owner, is also lovely and very busy so in addition to noise if you’ve hired a motorbike to get around you’ll have some trouble finding a place for it or getting it out as there are maybe 40 bikes parked there in the evenings. It’s in the jungle so doesn’t get much light and all my clothes felt slightly damp. The restaurant over the road is a bit noisy but they give you earplugs!
Beautiful rooms fully equipped for all eventualities including a few extras. Lovely helpful staff. Super interesting decor and lighting. Great comfy beds and bedding and lots of little extra touches making it feel a bit special.
Can be noisy at until midnight due to location close to loud bar. But they give you earplugs! There's not much beach there...it's only thigh deep at best, so you can't really swim. Because of the location in the jungley area, (and it rained a few times), it was quite dark and damp.
